Privacy policy
Last updated 5 November 2026
The short version
- There are no accounts. Your game is saved on your phone, and we never receive it.
- Ads are provided by Google AdMob, which collects some information from your device to show and measure them.
- In the UK, EU and Switzerland you're asked before ads are personalised, and you can change your answer at any time.
- Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
Who we are
Diamond in the Rough is made by Nick Waring, an independent developer based in the United Kingdom, who publishes apps as Waragor. In this policy, "we" means the developer. If you have a question about your privacy, email support@waragor.com.
What the game keeps on your phone
The game stores your progress, your settings (such as sound and vibration) and a record of what you've bought, on your device only. It doesn't send any of this to us, and we have no server that could receive it. Deleting the game deletes this data. If you back up your phone with iCloud or a computer, your save is included in that backup, which is controlled by you and Apple.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We don't receive your name, Apple Account details or payment information. The game only checks with Apple whether a purchase has been made on your account, so it can unlock it. Apple's handling of your data is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Advertising
The game shows ads from Google AdMob: an occasional ad between batches, and an optional ad you can choose to watch for a coin boost. To show and measure these ads and to prevent fraud, Google's software in the game may collect:
- an identifier for your device
- your IP address, and the approximate location that can be worked out from it
- information about the ads you see and tap
- diagnostic information, such as crashes and how quickly ads load
The game doesn't ask for permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites, so it doesn't share your device's advertising identifier. Ads are limited to content rated suitable for general and parental-guidance audiences.
Google processes this information under its own policies. You can read how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google's privacy policy, and manage your ad settings at My Ad Center.
If you buy Remove Ads or the Founder's Pack, the ads between batches stop. The optional ad for a coin boost stays available, but only plays if you tap it.
Your choices about ads
If you're in the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, the game asks for your consent before ads can be personalised, and you can say no. You can change your answer at any time in the game: open the Vault and tap Ad privacy choices. Saying no still shows ads, but they won't be based on your interests.
What we don't do
- We don't run our own analytics or tracking in the game.
- We don't sell personal information.
- We don't ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos or precise location.
Children
Diamond in the Rough is a general-audience game. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, and the game itself collects no personal information from anyone. If you're a parent and have a concern, email us and we'll help.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete personal information about you. Because the game doesn't send us any personal information, we hold none to give you or delete. For information collected by Google for advertising, use Google's controls linked above, or contact Google directly. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) in the UK, or your local data protection authority.
This website
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or ads, and loads nothing from other companies. Our web host may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security.
